Michael Tracy has been tapped to open for the classic band America at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte, NC on August 15, 2019. "I'm real excited about this," says Michael, "Ovens is one of the only major venues in Charlotte that I haven't played at and although I do a lot of acoustic gigs around the region, I rarely get a chance to do one if front of such a large audience." Michael will be performing an acoustic trio set at 8PM.
“...his work is of the highest, finest, rawest quality, not one lyric too much, not one sentiment not having been felt by us all at some stage”
Michael Tracy (Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist) combines straightforward American Rock and Roll with poignant lyrical themes, reminiscent of Rock Singer/Songwriters like Tom Petty & Bob Seger but with a modern edge that hints of The Killers. He has released four studio albums, and together with his band has been invited to be supporting act for rock heavy weights like twice opening for Bon Jovi (garnering him a featured article in Billboard Magazine), Poison, George Thorogood, Styx, Foreigner, Don Felder, Jefferson Starship, Dokken, Marshall Tucker Band, & Foghat. Michael released his new album Still Got Soul on November 17, 2017, recorded in Los Angeles with producer/co-writer Sahaj Ticotin. Michael's latest effort is his most ambitious yet, representing an artist who has clearly found his voice and a "lane" to call his own.
“Each and every song possesses that instant, memorable sing along quality...massive crossover appeal undoubted.”
